AI Access Layer

The AI Access Layer is the product your AI traffic passes through. It controls which people and agents can reach which tools, and how.

What it does

  • Roles and permissions: access is set per role, per tool and per action. See Roles and permissions.
  • Read-first: every connector starts read-only.
  • Human approval: any write or action waits for a person. See Read-first and human approval.
  • Audit trail: every request and decision is recorded. See Audit trail.
  • Custom connectors: msharti builds connectors to your own systems and delivers them inside the layer. See Custom connectors.

One gateway

AI assistants and agents connect to one endpoint instead of to each system separately. That gives one place to set rules and one record of use. The gateway uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open way for AI tools to call other systems.

What it does not do

It does not train models, and it does not replace your identity provider. Directory integration and group mappings are agreed during onboarding.

Status

See Capability status for what is available today and what is scoped per client.
