Custom connectors

A custom connector lets AI use one of your systems in plain language, under your rules. msharti builds each one for your organisation.

What a connector is

A set of named tools, such as "look up a member's balance" or "add a note to a case", built on your system's API or database. Each tool has a clear description, defined inputs and a risk level.

How one is built

  1. Scope: agree the system and the questions staff need answered.
  2. Design: list the tools, mark each read or write, set the approver for writes.
  3. Build: msharti builds and tests against the agreed test environment.
  4. Review: your team checks the tools and the approval rules.
  5. Go live: read tools first; writes only once approved.

What you provide

API documentation or database access, a test environment if one exists, and a technical contact.

What every connector includes

Role-based access, read-first defaults, approval for writes and audit logging.

No catalogue

msharti does not sell a ready-made connector library. Each connector is scoped per client. To start, see Request a new connector.
